The Crippling Power Of Fear!!!…B.U.G.S.
Fear is the unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, or a threat or may even cause pain.
How does Satan use this device to cripple those that are believers in Christ? How is Satan so successful in placing this thought process into motion? Better yet, why is it so easy for a believer to experience the power FEAR and what it brings with it?
Many of us experience dark times in our lives and find it hard to really trust God as He instructed us to do. It is fear that causes us to not make the right decisions simply because of the pain or emotional distress it may bring with it.
Satan will plant thoughts to work on your mind that is really not the truth. It may be the thought of being alone or not being strong enough, being left behind and not recognized. There may even be thoughts of just not being good enough mentally or physically. This is another one of those B.U.G.S. (Being under Satan’s Grip and blinded to the truth.)
Afraid to launch out on things you know God has instructed you to do
Afraid to speak the truth when confronted with deceit
Afraid to move beyond our comfort zones in simple matters
Afraid to trust God spiritually and naturally when it comes to everyday issues
Afraid of what people will say about you
Afraid of being afraid
Consider the many aspects of the Spirit of Fear!!!
Fear’s primary objective is to work on our emotions and our faith. If we concentrate on the byproducts of FEAR, we will find ourselves on the brink of unbelief in God.
Worry, anxiety, panic, dread, distress, distrust, and unbelief are among many byproducts of fear
Unbelief attacks our FAITH!! When our FAITH is in jeopardy, our TRUST in God is weakened. It is at this point that we can fall for anything that does not support trusting God.
Understand how Satan will work in this thought process. Unbelief will blind and cripple us in our minds. Our emotions will play havoc on us. We will become more concerned about what people will say than what God has already told us. The act of worry will become more active in our daily living. Our trust in God will become faint and will be pushed aside out of the idea that something unpleasant, painful, or dangerous is about to happen.
2 Tim. 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (NKJV).
There will be times when we will be overcome with fear. We are not super-humans or super-believers. We are still living in the flesh. We will experience FEAR …The Spirit of Fear. What we must understand is that this spirit of fear did not come from God. God gives us power, love and a sound mind. Don’t be tricked by this BUG. (The Grip of Satan)
John 4:18 states…”There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love“.
There is one thing that we must as true believers in Christ understand about our walk. We are serving a GOD that is LOVE. It is that LOVE we must trust. God is the creator of that LOVE and we must put our wholehearted trust in HIM. Complete trust in God will overcome any fear. It is only when we don’t completely trust God that fear takes over in our lives. Simply put, we are made perfect through His love. It drives out the “Spirit Of Fear”. If we believe it and exercise the belief that fear cannot live where there is love, we will become better in our walk.
Whatever comes up in our lives that has the characteristics of FEAR, we must drive it out by trusting in God and His Love. It is only when we have learned how to put our trust in God that we conquer FEAR. We will not have to be afraid of the things to come in our future. We can experience more love, joy, happiness, and contentment in Christ when we live on the promise that God will never leave us. It’s a promise built on love. Never be afraid …Satan’s grip produces fear…learn how to put it where it belongs and Live Life as God intended. A life filled with LOVE … God’s LOVE!
