The Christmas Bug….The Ultimate Gift …B.U.G.S.
This is just a short article on what the true meaning of Christmas is and should be in our lives, especially if we are true believers in Christ.
So as not to leave anyone out, if you are one that wants to truly celebrate Christmas you should consider the enclosed text.
Christmas is a story that should be shared with all those around you. It represents the celebration of the Birth of Christ. Even though many don’t really think about a child being born in Bethlehem these days. A child born that represents the birth of our Savior. The baby Jesus was born human and became our much needed Savior. Yes, this was an act that was necessary to save the world from sin.
John 3:16-17 states, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
This was the beginning of an incredible act of love for us. God loved us so that He gave His only begotten Son.
WHO HAS LOVE LIKE THAT TO SHARE?
MY GOD AND SAVIOR!!
This is what one would call true LOVE!! This is the meaning that is worth celebrating throughout the world. This is the gift God gave us! What are we going to give in return? There should at least be an awareness of this ACT OF LOVE in our holiday celebration with family and others.
Let’s take a minute to discuss The Christmas Bug…B.U.G.S. (Allowing Satan to distract us from the true meaning behind the Birth of Jesus …Christmas)
Christmas is not giving all the frame and glory to Santa and allowing our celebrating to follow suit with this idea. We allow ourselves to get deeper in debt to achieve the commercial concept of celebrating Christmas. There is no CHRIST in it at all. We must be careful and hold on to the true meaning.
Let’s not get caught up in the shuffle of the holidays and forget to give the honor and thankful praise for the “ULTIMATE GIFT OF LOVE” that was given so that we could live!! Our gift-giving to others should be a remembrance of this gift that God so freely gave us. It’s beginning was with the birth of Jesus and his purpose was completed with the resurrection! What a sacrifice!! Just for you and I!!
It was true LOVE!! Let’s remember that as we celebrate this holiday season. The full price was paid for us …we are free from the condemnation of sin when we willingly accept Christ’s Gift of LOVE.
Be blessed and celebrate this great gift of LOVE!!
