The Bitterness/ Unforgiveness BUGS

Bitterness and Unforgiveness

We as believers in Christ represent the Gospel, the Word Of God, the true meaning of Holy Living. Simply put, we represent Jesus Christ. This is something that should be the norm of Christian living.

MY QUESTION IS – So why is there so much bitterness and unforgiveness in the CHURCH?

These are topics that are discussed at length among the Body of Believers today, yet it’s not correcting itself.

What is really happening?

Why is it a struggle and not a delight to offer others forgiveness? Why do we dwell on the hurt that has caused bitterness instead of the process we are taught in God’s Word? Especially what the is taught in the Word about healing? Why do we have to always have the last say or words in such situations?

PLEASE, NOTE….this scenario is not saying that no one is doing the right thing but it brings to light the severity of its presence among those that are participating in this Christian walk.

These questions are easy to answer but the solution is hardly carried out in many cases. Do we not LOVE GOD? Why would Paul teach so heavily about LOVE AND UNITY if the church was not going to abide by the teaching?

My answer…..its another one of those BUGS, Being Under The Grip Of Satan.

Bitterness is anger or disappointment in being treated unfairly; it’s having resentment.

A simple yet biblical sort of definition for Unforgiveness is a grudge against someone who has offended you, and unforgiveness is not having the compassion to forgive.

It would stand to reason that being bitter in the household faith is certainty a BUG, a person ”being under the GRIP of Satan.” For one to carry bitterness around in their heart is surely someone that has it fixed in their mind that they have a legitimate reason not to forgive someone or a grudge against someone or something.

You see the devices of Satan will cause you to hate instead of love and convince yourself that you are right. This is a BUG! We need to address the presence of bitterness among us by calling it what it is and removing it. It has no place in the house of God.

The Bible teaches us to love each other as Christ loves us….how do we witness about Christ without that love shining through all we do and say? There is a deep heartfelt concern about the basic responsibility we have as Christians. Exemplifying the LOVE OF GOD should not only be a benefit of loving God but a privilege.

Bitterness overshadows that privilege. The GRIP of one of Satan’s devices lives in our mind and heart when we hang on to bitterness. We must do better in ridding ourselves of the GRIP of bitterness. After all, wouldn’t sharing  LOVE  be more beneficial?

This series will continue with unforgiveness……stay tuned…

About Me

This blog was the beginning of social media posts created for the sole purpose of encouraging other believers in Christ. It really started out in mediation of how God compares us as believers to sheep in the Bible. I was so amazed by the comparison that I continued to research it for my own benefit. It was during that process that I learned about the damage a bug can do to a sheep if it ever gets into his head. This sparked a platform for all the things I, an avid believer in Christ, needed to share with others or rather anyone that would listen.
