Stop The Noise …B.U.G.S.

This is a familiar scripture that we all have embraced or heard during our lifetime. It is one that many of us even quote during our testimonies for Christ in morning worship. A scripture we say often but maybe take for granted. Do we really say it with the proper understanding and meaning in mind when we use it so freely?

The Church world is full of instances like this where we take on the idea of quoting scriptures and using theuncomfortable their lives to give the impression of knowing God!

I suppose you are wondering why this article started in this manner. Well, let’s just call it a gesture to bring complete awareness of who we are to the forefront and where we are in God.

One would think that a “Noise” is a loud sound that can normally be sort of distracting and uncomfortable to the ears. When we make “Noise”, it becomes just that; uncomfortable and distracting. No one wants to really listen to it and will immediately discard or move away from that noise. It’s almost sometimes too painful to listen to without covering your ears.

Let’s talk about that “NOISE”!!

Who wants to be loud, confused, and senseless? This is a common definition of “Noise”.

It’s Satan’s job to keep you and unbelievers from the truth about God and the Gospel of the Word. It would stand to reason that Satan would not want us to know the true meaning behind making a “Joyful Noise” for the Lord.

Yes, we worship loudly in our worship services with the singing, music, dancing, and testimonies every Sunday, but is it a “JOYFUL NOISE”? Or are we sounding loud, and confused not having any substance.

The trick that can be played on us as believers is the notion that because we are making loud noises, we are giving God our all in worship. Anyone can be noisy or make a noise, but as true believers in Christ, there is a different type of noise. It must be a “Joyful Noise”.

A “Joyful Noise” would imply that one believes in God and are making a very much bold declaration of the glorious Name of Jesus. The worship is one of total praise and thanksgiving to God and His magnificent Glory.

Another one of those B.U.G.S. will stick its head out and turn something that should be wonderful and glorious into a personal and selfish act. Giving God praise for His goodness and mercy suddenly becomes an act of pretense for the crowd. Pretending to love God with all your heart is dangerous. There is nothing joyful about pretending to give God thanks so others will be impressed by your so-called praise.

One that offers or makes a “joyful noise” will express it better and more truthfully when they are living the praise, giving their lives daily to God, and allowing God to guide them with truth and Love. They must understand the true meaning of being thankful and being able to taste of His sweetness.

One would say that you are simply making a “Noise” when you say you Love but there is no Love shown to others. There is nothing joyful about that, is it?

Our truest expression of God is through LOVE. The church of Ephesus was warned about the fact that they had left their first love.

Revelation 2:4-5 states …”Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.“

A church or congregation without LOVE or better yet GODS LOVE can’t have unity. It would only be a pretense. A LOUD NOISE without any substance.

We must stop making noise and learn more about sharing God’s love. It’s then and only then that the noise will turn into a “Joyful Noise” for God. A pure heart that finds joy in honoring God.

Let’s not be an empty can that makes noise and become true believers that reflect God’s love and overwhelming joy of thankfulness. God commands us to make a ‘joyful noise”. It must be a privilege and honor to give thanks because we want and need to express joy to Him. After all making a joyful noise is for our good!!

Let’s be excited about making a “Joyful Noise” for God. Get rid of the “Noise”.

When we focus on God from the heart, the noise becomes sweet and joyful!!

About Me

This blog was the beginning of social media posts created for the sole purpose of encouraging other believers in Christ. It really started out in mediation of how God compares us as believers to sheep in the Bible. I was so amazed by the comparison that I continued to research it for my own benefit. It was during that process that I learned about the damage a bug can do to a sheep if it ever gets into his head. This sparked a platform for all the things I, an avid believer in Christ, needed to share with others or rather anyone that would listen.
