OUT THINKING GOD!

There will always be instances in this life that will be unexpected. We as humans can’t always accept things that arise in our lives that cause unexpected things to occur. We especially can’t always accept how those unexpected circumstances cause havoc in our lives. It is here that our intellect overrides any possible solutions that may be part of our trust in God. Surely something has to click in our minds that lets us know we may not always have the logical solution. Just because we consider ourselves smart doesn’t imply that we have all the answers.
You see, our intellect has nothing to do with how we trust God. Human intellect has to depend on the ability to rationalize. This implies that your thinking process is greater than God’s. In other words, you are the supreme authority in your life. You have the answers to all the questions and issues that may arise. You have this belief that you will always figure things out if given enough time. You stand alone! You don’t feel the need for additional help. You have become very independent and self-reliant.
This is another one of those B.U.G.S. (Being Under The Grip Of Satan). Satan wants to keep you believing that you don’t need God in your life. You see it’s simple…he doesn’t want you to experience miracles that exist without rhyme or reason attached to it. Satan doesn’t want you to be reliant on God because then you would have to acknowledge that things are happening in which you can’t explain. Satan will not have authority over you when you are reliant on God. It’s not hard to understand that now is it?
Although we are capable of understanding and solving problems, we must not dismiss the fact that God is the supreme authority. Our intellect must not take the place of God in our hectic lives.
1 Corinthians 2:9 states, “But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”—”
The thing about being a believer in Christ is that we are His sheep. Sheep follow …..they have complete trust in their Shepherd. Where He leads them, they will follow without question.
Man’s reasoning cannot be in line with God’s unless he has become a new creature who seeks the mind of God. Total reliance on God can be difficult when you think you are better at problem-solving than God.
This is a hard lesson to learn. Sometimes we find ourselves always wanting to figure it out so that we keep the impression of being self-reliant. Take it from me, this process does not always produce a good solution for you in your life.
The whole idea of trusting God is relying on Him. God is more powerful than you or better yet, He entrusts us with the ability to use that same power. Confusing???
Let me explain:
Without a doubt, God is our Savior. By grace, God gives us faith and the power to fight against the wiles of the devil. He gives the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide us each day. It protects, guides, and comforts us in all things.
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new. He made Him who knew no sin [Jesus] to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Cor. 5:17-21)
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus”… (Rom. 8:1)
It is a daily walk with God that we must understand. Our daily source needed to survive comes from God. Our job is to eat daily from His Word so that we can grow. The key is that we trust God for that source of nutrition every day.
Do we trust Him to supply exactly what we need each day?
Do we trust Him to know our needs beforehand?
Do we trust Him to foresee what’s ahead and provide the resources to get through that situation?
These are the things that must be addressed in our minds. Ask yourself, DO I TRUST GOD TO PROVIDE FOR ME?
Stop trying to out-think God!
It’s not how much you know or how much you can do for yourself. It’s about total trust in God whom you say you love and will follow. A trust that will come through for you in any situation. But to be honest, we are a people that think we have it all together and our thinking process is going to provide a better solution than God’s.
I Think Not!!!
Just another one of those B.U.G.S. (Being Under The Grip Of Satan)
We are not bigger or better than God. Many times we let our ego think for us. We are too big and bad to allow fear to overtake that big EGO we have!! I can do it myself, I don’t need anyone, I’m grown!! Don’t you see the trick of Satan to get you to think you don’t need God?
Yes, there are many things we can figure out that will come naturally to us but have you ever thought about where that little bit of knowledge came from? Who taught you how to think? Better yet, who made (created) you?
I think most of us fail at life when we interject the fear element. It may be that our EGO has gotten bigger as we go through life simply because of fear! Those of you out there with big EGOs, think about it!! Sort of like a big coverup!
When faced with something that we don’t understand, or something that is out of our control, WE PANIC! Panic brings about fear…fear brings about the inability to move in an effective manner. One thing for sure people or should I say, believers, God will never direct us into danger without protection.
Let’s talk about how God leads us. Sheep are always lead to green pastures so that they can eat until they are full without the threat of predators. In God’s green pastures, protection from predators that come to harm us is always in place. Our faithful Shepherd, Jesus, is always there watching over us ready to keep any harm from coming upon us. How wonderful it is to know that you are in the loving hands of God!
Some things we really take for granted. What if there were no green pastures for us to eat from? What if we couldn’t find the nourishment that we need? Would we pull out of ourselves the master plan for food by out thinking God? Would we even know where to look?
It is just not good to be in the habit of out-thinking God. Understand that your plan can never be better than the plan God has for you. Big EGOs don’t stand a chance when going up against God. We will never be able to love enough! We will never be able to provide or care enough. We would never be able to save ourselves from harm and danger. Our minds can’t process it all and come out with a better path to follow. It’s just not possible. We must learn to trust and lean on God!
In conclusion, let’s stop trying to out-think God. He already has a plan in place for our survival through life. A plan that will never leave us hanging or in distress. An everlasting plan that is sealed with His blood. I don’t know of anyone that can out-think that sacrifice!
So let’s come back to ourselves and allow God to direct us in our lives. B.U.G.S. (Being Under The Grip Of Satan) only comes to harm us. Out-thinking God is one of those B.U.G.S. destined to harm and destroy us.
Out-Think …No…Let’s Re-Think our walk with God. Allow Him to be our real Shepherd. After all, He showed us that He loved us when He died on the Cross.
