I Will Make It Through This Too!!!

I’m sure you are wondering from the title of this article what circumstances may have caused such a declaration! Just hang with me for a few moments and maybe you will discover your own declaration.
This present-day world surely has placed its roots into our lives. Even to the point that we can become lost with being busyness. The Christian world (church) continues to receive its share of criticism and lack of support due to one of those B.U.G.S.(Being Under The Grip Of Satan). It appears that we (believers) have chosen to take a step back in identifying and defeating the tactics of the devil. It appears that there is a sense of lost hope and recognition of God’s grace. Keep in mind, IT APPEARS!! Just because it looks like something doesn’t mean it is that thing.
Just to clarify, this article is about the attack on the people of God. An attack that is sometimes overlooked or misplaced because it’s not in the position you think it should be. This article is to also recognize the fact that struggle as a believer does not equal defeat!
Ask yourself…Are you discouraged even more when you see the falling away of the true believers? Church attendance is no longer a priority or rather it doesn’t present itself as a necessity in our busy lives. It truly looks like a falling away doesn’t it? It appears as if the people of God are distracted and have bigger and better things to do when it comes to life and ministry. For this cause, one may think that trying to live a Christ-like life is just too hard.
It is a STRUGGLE! All of us want to believe that living a Godly life is not a daily struggle, but truth be told, it is! It’s hard to stay focused on the important things that will improve your walk with Christ. It’s just as hard to recognize the struggles you encounter. Why are they there? I’m doing all I can to live Godly!!
Don’t be passive and think that it will always be good and the elements of struggle won’t be present.
Don’t be fooled and think that Satan won’t do all he can to make you feel that struggle is NOT a part of your Christian walk.
The presence of B.U.G.S. (Being UnderThe Grip Of Satan), will cause one to think that struggle is not a part of life. The idea is to cause one to think that life is full of privileges and not struggles. We must realize that pain and struggle are part of the process of living life. So it would stand to reason that it would also be a part of living a Christian life, RIGHT?
So here you are in the midst of all of this!!! Dealing with a personal struggle! One that needs attention and the support of dedicated believers. So you withdraw yourself because your faith is shaken. How can this be? You question the process and God because you have suddenly realized the failure is too close for comfort.
Has the foundation of God’s mercy and grace lost its footing???
Do you feel the impact of the struggle as a dead weight you can’t see your way through?
Have you ultimately stopped praying because of the weight you feel?
Are you questioning your faith and faithfulness because of what you see?
Have you just stopped “DOING” anything that pertains to salvation? You just don’t feel like doing this thing anymore.
THE DECLARATION IS SIMPLE…We need not fear that we will or are falling away from God, for it is He who keeps us upright. We rely on His power, not our own. We are victorious in all our struggles when we rely on God and His faithfulness …NOT OURS!
Proverbs 18:10 states…”The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.“
Psalms 46:1 states…”God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Understand this, the struggles, trials, or tests that each of us go through are there to make us stronger in our walk. Yet, to be brutally honest, you really don’t feel that!!!
Somehow we are forgetting what God has already done and taken us through. The (B.U.G.S.) are in full force at this point. Just as Satan tempted Jesus, he will tempt you not to believe what you already know!
Galatians 3:1 states…“O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?”
You have found yourself hiding or without hope because you have maybe stepped out of God’s will. So you ask yourself, surely I am not worthy to be one of God’s children. It seems so hard because what you are facing at the moment is overwhelming and grabs you right in the gut!!! You contemplate the idea that you are without the promise of forgiveness because you have fallen from that place you were in God. Hope becomes more distant to you. So you ask yourself, How did I get here, Lord?
You see the trick of Satan (B.U.G.S.) is to make you feel like the displaced emotions are true signs of failure. This one thing we all should know when faced with these situations…God is always present when we need Him. Satan will trick you into believing that God is not in the picture. Just as he tricked Eve in the garden, he is surely out to trick you!!!
Another one of his tricks is to make you feel like “throwing in the towel.” How am I going to get back to God???
Another one of those B.U.G.S.(Being UnderThe Grip Of Satan), has taken control of your thinking process and zeal to fight back.
Are so busy that we have forgotten how God brought us out of every struggle so far?
Do you see the TRICK???
We tend to forget once we are out of trouble what it took to get you out of it. Are we “PIMPING GOD”? Are we always looking for a handout from God and not offering ourselves as that reasonable servant?
Here is one thing we should as believers know: True Christians (believers) will struggle with sin and failure.
1 John 1:8-9 states…”If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.“
We are going to experience failure in this life. No one is perfect. This is why we need God to direct and keep us. We can trust that our God is faithful and able to keep us in His grip and to present us blameless before Himself.
Philippians 1:6 states…“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
The DECLARATION to you is…if you are feeling like just giving up or “throwing in the towel, refresh your memory…God is still present and capable of taking you through this also. Don’t forget where or how He brought you out! You will make it through this TOO!! Whatever the THIS is, God is there for you. Say it and believe it!
