I’m STRESSED OUT…Now What? B.U.G.S.

We live in a busy world and unfortunately, we have become entangled with the demand to participate in the lifestyle that the world provides. We stretch ourselves beyond our limits without considering the stress it places on our minds and bodies. The desire to keep up and be that one that always gives when there is no strength left in your body is not what we need in our lives. It seems that every day is a catch-up day. We place ourselves in a position that makes it harder and harder to process anything.
The demands of others, the demand of the job, the demands of the family, the demands of the church, the demands of social media all play a part in our losing ourselves. We are locked in a position that we have nothing left to give or share that is genuine. It seems that you are never going to fulfill these demands because it’s not enough of you to go around.
It’s OVERWHELMING!! There is just not enough of you to go around. The real you is hidden or sniffed out because you are pulled in so many directions. It feels like there is no time for YOU to breathe. It’s times like this that we want to just RUN AWAY. You feel that everybody wants something from you. You have to always RUN after the newest thing or latest fad. SELF gets lost!! Satan uses this state of being as his stomping ground to do his best work. The B.U.G.S. (Being Under The Grip Of Satan) become more present in our lives.
This is evidence that you are experiencing signs of STRESS!!
We give more and more of ourselves to the world when we depend daily on social media to fill our lives. By that I mean we live to find out who is available to hear what we have to say or who will follow us. Our days are becoming filled more and more with other people’s opinions. We place ourselves in a position of total dependence on what others say or do.
Is it no wonder that so many turn to the idea of checking out of this world. The pressure of just being and living in a world that is so demanding. The more we give of ourselves to this world, the more we lose ourselves to serving God.
People will always find the need to pull on you every chance they get just because you make yourself available to their demands. So here we are again, finding ourselves with even lesser time to “SERVE” in God’s kingdom.
Sometimes the “Stress Element” can cause unwarranted events in your life that will lead you to do things that are totally out of character for you. You see, when you are in this state, Satan (B.U.G.S.) will come into play. All types of feelings seem to stand out when you are totally unaware. You question where did these feelings come from. There is a tendency that you are all alone and your mind will begin to play the little tricks on you.
Well, first of all…You are Not Crazy!!!
You must understand the tricks of the devil !! B.U.G.S. – Being Under The Grip Of Satan will always find their way into the crevices of your mind and begin to manufacture doubt. Stress can lead to doubt which can lead to not trusting God.
Some of us do well with stress but others of us ask the question, Now What?
Because we are not doing or positioned where we think we ought to be, there is a disconnect! This alone is a good reason to communicate with God daily. We all experience STRESS in our lives one way or another. How we deal with that stress will determine our ability to overcome it. This may include getting rid of some of those people that tend to attach themselves to you. You may have to thin out your circle.
Matthew 6:25 states, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? “
When we are “Stressed Out”, our ability to express ourselves as a believer of Christ will become even more difficult. Our surroundings become faded and we are not able to share the love of God as we should. Do you see the trick of Satan (B.U.G.S.)?
We must quickly refocus our attention to trusting God and not drown in our situation.
Proverbs 3:3-5 states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.“
Anxiety and frustration are all a part of magnifying the effects of “Stress”. We must be able to find peace, rest, and trust in God.
Philippians 4:6-7 states “…do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.“
Always remember to make room for God in your life. The remedy to removes unwanted “Stress”. Daily communicate with God your concerns and situations so that He may lead and guide you through them. Remember to always make room for God. Some of the other things that are crowding your life may need to be pushed aside or even removed so that you can allow God to help you navigate through life.
If you are in a mess and “Stressed”, try trusting the only one that will never leave you or forsake you, JESUS!! Make room for Him!!
Thank you for listening…
