BROKEN PIECES…Another One Of Those B.U.G.S.
This topic just seemed to have worked its way into being serious enough to examine its presence in the body of Christ…the Church world, the true believers of Christ.
Again, why are there so many broken pieces in the church? Consider how profound this is when the church really has full access to the one that mends hearts that are broken.
What would be good examples of “Broken Pieces” in the church? Let’s take a quick look at some things that may fall into this category.
– We have those in our midst that are damaged and count themselves as unworthy or worthless.
-We have those in our midst that are hurting and can’t seem to get relief from that hurt
-We have those that are torn between relationships or family
-We have those that are quiet and reserved but struggling with deep depression and withdrawal
-We have those that are looking for answers in the wrong places
-We have those that just simply need to be loved
So how do we deal with these “Broken Pieces?”
It would be safe to say that the world is full of instances that qualify as being broken. We are living in a world that requires a tremendous amount of energy to live. All of us experience the stress, lost opportunities, broken promises, broken relationships, broken spirits, and even broken hearts.
Broken …having been fractured or damaged and no longer in one piece…generally only good to be thrown away or discarded because it can’t be used for the purpose it was intended …
The question must be asked …Why Does Brokenness exist in the church when we profess to know the healer of broken hearts? We have access to the potter (Jesus) that mend, rebuilds and forms a new thing out of clay.
Sometimes we do experience seasons of “Brokenness”…”Broken Pieces” …a place where everything seems to be broken. There is a feeling of being left alone. A feeling of not being able to obtain what you think you need in your life. It’s a longing desire for a change in your life that seems too hard to grasp. One could even call this a “wilderness experience”. A feeling of being totally alone and unwanted. A feeling of wanting to be free without the experiences that goes with it. We must remember that there has to be a price paid for any type of freedom. We must be able to count the cost!
Our experiences don’t add up to what we really expect out of life. This can in many cases cause us to feel “broken“. Things are not coming out as you expected and you feel a sense of being broken, alone, and no way out!!
Can this broken piece in our life be the sign of God just trying to get us molded more for His purpose?
Do we take this broken part as defeat and lack of blessing in our life?
Are we aware of what God is doing with this broken piece?
We as a whole don’t like to feel that lack of control in certain things. That feeling of being left out! We always want to get the blessings out of life. There is a feeling of wanting to be on top in every aspect.
What about the broken pieces of our lives?
There must be a grave amount of broken pieces among us in our congregations when we really think about it. Unexpected tragedy and situations would cause one to think that our dependence on God has left the building and better yet does not work within us.
Think about the true meaning of knowing God!
What really takes place when this happens?
What really happens when we allow God to fix and mend our hearts?
Are we taking advantage of what God has planned for us?
Are we allowing the broken piece to be mended by God?
Are we allowing Satan to tell us that this broken piece can’t be fixed?
All of this would lead one to believe that God has a plan for each of us but are we willing to be molded for that plan. The idea here is to know without a doubt that God’s plan is to never have to experience the effect of “broken pieces “without Him.
So Why Is There So Much Brokenness? This is another one of those B.U.G.S. (Being Under The Grip Of Satan ). It’s a trick of the enemy that finds its way into our minds.
The Broken Pieces which is the focus of this article is when it overwhelms one to the point that they believe there is no recovery. This is the trick!!! If one believes there is no recovery once they experience being broken then their brokenness becomes a death sentence. In other words, there is no solution in their mind that will fix the broken pieces. God never intended for us to experience broken pieces in our lives without offering a healing solution and repair for that broken piece.
Where we tend to go wrong is that our dependence on God fades or is put aside …allowing Satan to present unbelief in our minds. A quick fix!!
A broken heart is not easy to fix. This is why God has to be in the process. Broken pieces can be deadly and have sharp edges that can ultimately kill others that come in contact with it.
Psalms 34:18 says..”The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.“
Satan doesn’t want anyone to understand the remedy to mend a broken spirit or heart. The less you understand the more Satan can control your destiny. True believers should have the key to the spirit of Brokenness in their hands but seemingly we have tossed it aside or forgotten it.
True believers should have the sensitivity to feel or be aware of broken things in their mist. The broken things are those around us that are suffering or can’t seem to allow God to fix the broken things in their hearts. So they continue to carry the brokenness with them without seeking the help they need. It’s a process that God is allowing to happen for your good. But there are a lot of casualties because of our unbelief, impatience, and lack of trust in God.
WHY IS THIS?
There should be a true sense of awareness among the people of God when it comes to the spirit of brokenness. We can become so busy doing “MINISTRY” or “CHURCH” that we ignore the signs of broken spirits that exist within the people we worship with each Sunday.
This is the trick that Satan presents to us and we are unaware of its targets.
We should be able to guide others to solutions in Christ that will mend the contrite and broken heart. This is hard to accomplish when we ourselves are suffering from pride, self-will, stubbornness, unforgiveness, jealousy, and bad habits to name a few. So we miss the opportunities to help others and leave ourselves even more vulnerable.
The healing process for any type of brokenness comes from God. He is the only one that can take the “broken pieces” and align them properly.
If we are true believers of God then we should be able to provide others with the God solution to brokenness. After all, God mended our broken heart when we were in need of His love.
The healing process for brokenness starts with God. Awareness to someone experiencing brokenness begins with us. Even our own broken piece should be directed to God for mending and healing.
Let’s get more involved with knowing those around us enough that we can direct them to the correct solutions when they are experiencing the “Spirit of Brokenness”.
Let’s be part of the solution to sudden suicide, addiction, and self-mutilation. Yes, I said it…people within our circles looking for solutions that are harmful and deadly simply because they are suffering from a broken heart. Broken pieces that they feel won’t go back together.
Paul tells us in Philippians that we should be helpers of one another and love each other accordingly. This process causes unity. It’s this unity that can ultimately help in saving the broken pieces that exist around us.
When people don’t understand why there are broken pieces in their lives, they look for worldly solutions. Satan blinds us of our own power and authority in God for a reason. When our eyes are open the healing process has room to work.
The church should be a healing station. A station for mending and repairing. There are too many broken pieces in our midst. We profess and carry the solution to this healing and repairing process. Look around you!!! Be more aware of the “Broken Pieces”.
It’s not so much saving yourself but helping and directing others to the solution in mending the broken pieces in their lives. We must be a part of the solution and start gathering the broken pieces because surely they can be made whole again.
